Newly launched by Canon, its entry-level mirrorless EOS M50 camera that is having an electronic viewfinder, fully articulating touchscreen, single control dial, and a 24MP APS-C sensor – looking same as used in other its M-series bodies. It was powered by Canon’s latest processor Digic 8 process and extends Dual Pixel AF system with 4k/2k video recording (with a 1.7x cropped factor) as well as Wi-fi, Bluetooth and NFC.
The camera is basically offered to beginner level users especially coming from Smartphone Camera or digital camera background. But it might be a platform for another future mid-level or pro level mirrorless systems offered by Canon.

Next important addition to M50 is Canon’s latest Raw format – CR3, in fact, M50 is the first camera that is able to capture images in the format of Canon’s CR3 Raw format files. Dual Pixel AF does not work in 4k recording, but it is fully worked while recording in all other video formats excepts 4k.
The new CR3 Raw format is Canon’s first kind of raw format which has a compression option called C-Raw (fully compressed resolution, better than downsized ‘Small’ and ‘Medium’ raw formats).
Some important features that camera has an Eye Detection mode available only in AF-S and a new silent shooting scene mode. The M50 camera also comprised of a gyro sensor that assists optical image stabilization for better shake compensation, as well as dual Sensing IS.
The M50 camera is priced a little bit higher in comparison to other Canon’s entry-level systems.
